You Are Becoming Your Parents

I hate to break it to you but you are becoming your parents when it comes to your taste in music.
Remember how they used to talk of old songs with such reverence and admiration?
“Now this is music!”
They would proudly criticize modern music when they heard a song from their time on the radio.
But that was because they were old and out of it.
The modern music was still great.
They just didn’t get it.
Sure the music they liked was good, but they kind of blew it out of proportion.
Remember those days?
Well now you are saying the same thing about the songs that you grew up with.
What the heck is going on?!
Do the songs released today really stink or are you just that old?
Were the songs you grew up with that good?
Or were you just a young kid?
And more importantly; are you saying the same thing that your parents once said about music?
Cause it seems to me that you are.

Watch what you say about music because you may just start to sound like your old man.
